Cubs accept. Needed to get myself out of Ian Desmond's deal, and I just have way too many 1Bs to carry. Taylor isn't the best, but I'll place my bet on the younger guy on a cheaper deal. Easy negotiations with Steve. Thanks man, pleasure doing business!

Ian Desmond has a BAD contract and carries very little value despite that. KC really has no incentive to give up a younger, cheaper player for Desmond who will avg about $11m annually so I’m really unsure why this trade was made. Far from a good investment for KC, really wish they had provided any reasoning for making this deal.

Veto (2-2). KC provided no reasoning for why they would want to take on an older, more expensive, probably worse player on a longer deal. It doesn’t add up.
