Congrats to the Cleveland Indians and the Pittsburgh Pirates on making the World Series this year. Tough luck to the Boston Red Sox who thought they slide their way into the World Series only to have it slip under their glove. Who knows, maybe this is the beginning of a new curse for Boston. Let's take a look at the matchup so far: The Indians have gotten out to an early lead, taking all offensive categories and most of the pitching categories. His pitching has been stellar putting up 18K's in 11.2 IP as well as a QS, W, (2) S and a H. The Pirates have three stud pitchers going today (Bauer, Bieber and Max Fried) while the Indians have two starters (Clevinger and Maeda) today. There's plenty of time left for the Pirates to even up the score and we'll see if the Indians can hold off the Pirates to claim their second World Series title.

Day 3 Recap of the World Series Cleveland Indians 4 Pittsburgh Pirates 8 Ties 2 We have a close matchup offensively with Pittsburgh off to an early lead. Pitching is tight as well with Cleveland hanging on to 4 categories. Pittsburgh is riding the hot streak of Ke'Bryan Hayes who has been hitting HR's this week like his job depended on it. Harper has woken up and could easily help Pitt take the offensive categories if he stays hot. Pit has 3 starters going tonight (Javier, Lopez and Lynn) to Cleveland's none so this is a chance for Pit to overtake the pitching categories.

Day 4 Recap of the World Series Cleveland Indians 5 Pittsburgh Pirates 7 Ties 2 An extremely close matchup offensively so far in the week, both teams putting up solid numbers on offense with neither being able to pull ahead. Pitching is a give and take with Pit leading K's and W's by a solid margin and Cle leading ERA, WHIP and S' by a sizable gap. Cleveland has Carrasco and Mahle going today while Pittsburgh has Sandy Alcantara and Yu Darvish going today, both those pitchers are going against tough matchups (NYY & CHW). Pit is riding high after getting a dominant performance from Trevor Bauer the other night but needs Alonso, Hiura, Harper and especially Luis Robert (0/16 in the last 7 days) to wake up offensively in order to secure a championship for Pittsburgh. Three full days left to declare a champion for this short Covid season.

Congrats to the Pittsburgh Pirates for winning the MLB Sim 2020 World Series. Pittsburgh's offense was just too much to handle putting up great offensive numbers for the week, led by Ke'Bryan Hayes and his hot start. On top of his high powered offense, Pit's pitching was very good posting a 3.65 ERA, 6 Wins, 83 K's and 3 QS'. Cleveland had an overall good week but ended up running in the powerhouse Pirates in the last week that mattered. Congrats again to the Pittsburgh Pirates, they seem easily setup for another great run next year.
