Yankees send Edwin Diaz, RP NYM ($1.00 ARB ARB)
Giants send pick 2.11.
Yankees accept, I simply like the pick over the player here, although if Díaz returns to his Seattle form, I lose big time. Regardless, that’s a risk I’m willing to take.

I accept.
Here's to hoping Diaz gets his shit together. I'll take the upside over the pick.

I get Trevor's rationale for the trade but a mid 2nd for a young, controllable closer who is at his lowest value seems pretty light. Granted he had a terrible season last year but to assume that would be his new normal is hard for me to believe. He has plenty of time to turn it around and a mid 2nd round pick just seems too light to me.
Veto (0-1)

Approve (1-1) I get it maybe could have got more but there are players left in the draft that will absolutely be more valuable than any reliever

Not franchise ruining, probably not the best trade, but I'll approve 3-1

Wow. The odds of someone at 2.11 having a career like Diaz are much lower than Diaz returning to form. This is a steal for the Giants. But people get hyped on the draft every year and overpay for picks... Approve.
