Alright folks, this is a bit larger than we can solve with some groupme discussion. Two questions to address.
1. Should we allow IRL extensions to be accepted for the remainder of the 2019 season? 2. For the 2020 and beyond seasons, should we allow IRL extensions to be accepted or move to a MLBSim-specific extension system
For the record, my starting point is as follows; 1 - yes they should be allowed for the remainder of the season. This isn't a rule that should be changed at a moments notice as that would punish folks who just hadn't yet exercised their previously legal option. 2 - I think we should move to a system that allows each team the right to extend one (6) player annually, with cost / # of years limited in some way. IRL extensions aren't evenly spread across teams and tend to increase imbalance

I agree with that proposal as well. I think it makes the most sense for the league moving forward.

I prefer real life extensions so that teams can’t hoard their stars too cheaply but any hard and fast rule at this point will work for me.

I like the idea of being allowed to resign a (6) annually
