Pirates confirm. I think this is a great trade for Pittsburgh, Judge has potential to be one of the best bats in baseball when he’s healthy! I love Brujan especially, but it’s too good of a price to pass up to upgrade my lineup that is in the bottom 10 in AVG, OBP and SLG.

I accept. Team has no depth so taking the season to build up a team to my liking. Bote has been a good piece for the Cubs and playing him at 2B seems to be where they are heading in the future. Brujan can straight up hit and I should be a solid piece for me to move or build around

Not getting a top 50 prospect in return for a top 25 bat? Cmon. If you want depth you should probably deal for depth and not a hope someone works out in three years, especially when you’re moving your best piece.

Sorry to play value police. I agree. Judge went in the first round of too many drafts this year to be dealt for a utility player, a top 20 prospect, and a top 100 pitcher.

For reference, Trea Turner & Bumgarner went for Kiriloff, Welker, Nevin, Denaburg, and the #8 pick.

Kiriloff = Brujan
Welker = Morejon
Bumgarner & Welker cancel out

So there's 2 extra top 150 prospects in this otherwise comparable deal.
