Milwaukee Brewers acquire:

C prospect MJ Melendez
OF prospect Yusnial Diaz
3B prospect Nolan Jones
P prospect Darwinson Hernandez

I hate dealing Burnes but the Mets gave me an offer which I think was fair enough. Diaz and Jones gives me 2 top 100 prospects, while Melendez gives me depth at the C position. Hernandez I believe will become the future closer for the Red Sox. Good dealings Mets.

Accept. Intended to trade some catching prospects ahead of the draft. Nolan and Yusniel Diaz are prospects I like and didn’t necessarily want to move but it was the cost of going from Darwinzon to Burnes. Alek Thomas and Fox upside soften the blow of what I’m losing in nearer term prospects.
