Third time is the charm. I lose Votto and decent relievers but I love the assets I get in return. Smoak is a good enough replacement for Votto especially cuz he’s free. But I do get a top tier closer and a relatively young RF who has proven he can produce. Leake is a bit of a cap hit but he’s WAY more manageable than Votto and while he’s probably not worth that contract, he’s still a decent pitcher.

I approve. Colome isn’t as good as he was a year or two ago but is most likely getting shipped out as he’s hitting his “prime” defined by when Tampa trades anyone with talent so he may turn it around. Garcia seems to have figured it out as the CWS are on the upswing. Smoak although a little old has also figured it out. I feel this is good value for the best 1B in baseball because of that massive contract.
