ACCEPT. Trade reviews are like finding women at a night club. You’ll think you got this and next thing you know she’s gone. Hell it could even happen twice. But the important thing is to remember to never give up. It’s dark enough and you’ll find a woman drunk enough to find you attractive. The moral of the story is tonight is still young and the parties just begun. I’m accepting this for the same reasons as my previous attempts however I feel I’m getting better value here. I’m getting two much higher picks and two young promising players already in the majors. Now that we’ve had the calm, we brace for the storm.

Accept. I don’t need Bryce but I like to enter the fray and I see things a little differently. The way I have been planning to build, cheap team through prospects, acquire other players by trading excess prospects does not preclude me from parking 1/3 of my cap in Bryce Harper. Secondly, I expect Bryce to age just fine (Power and OBP skills) so I’m not particularly concerned about the 8 years commitment, especially since I won’t be competing for some time. Sure, Bryce could turn into Chris Davis but I think he is a bit more talented than that. Lastly, nothing I’m giving up is a building block piece for me. There is certainly some upside in the package but I’ve got other guys I view as building block pieces at all of these positions. The free agency contracts are abysmal anyways so I would only lock up a premium player on a lengthy high priced contract. Oh and I’ll at least listen on Bryce all year just in case I can turn him into one building block piece I like better than Bryce at 1/3 of my cap. So Bryce, go out and have a MVP season. Also, do me a favor and sign with the Phillies, not the Giants!

Approve (1-0)
I was fine with the last one and I think this helps OAK get better value for that $45M.

I understand it from New York's perspective, I considered the same thing. This is WAY better. Good job Oakland in getting a better deal. You can thank the trade committee later by giving us each a free draft pick. Approve.

The fact the mets actually still own there amnesty its completely worth the risk along with the cheap construction of the mets current roster perfect landing spot for this horrendous contract

Approve. We were so close to not having Bryce in the NL East.
Seems like I missed some things tonight. This feels like decent value for an awfully long/expensive contract. (6-0)
