2019 PIT 1st
2020 PIT 1st

Padres trade:
3B, Ke'Bryan Hayes (prospect)

Pirates confirm. Picks are fun to have, but I think they lose value once there's a name attached to them. Ke'Bryan Hayes's stock is trending upwards, and I think there's a chance he could be an above average 3rd baseman for a long time, starting as soon as next year when my window of contention should open up. I'd have to wait 4-5 years on these picks.

I accept same reasoning here. Hayes is a stud but will be ready a little before my window opens. The picks fit my timeline better than Hayes, even tho he’s a stud and his defense will make sure he has opportunity if the bat struggles. Thanks Alex!
