Reds trade:
SP Mike Leake (9) $15.00 $16.00 $15.00 $18.00
Phillies trade:
RP Blake Parker (4) $1.80
Leake has actually been pitching really well but I just don’t have the cap space in the future to hold his contract. Parker is currently the closer in LAA so hopefully my team can actually get some saves.

Not sure why you would want to take on that contract for Leake, but sure.

I'm sorry guys. I don't understand this one. Dealing a current closer who's cost controlled for a bad starter who's locked in for $15M annually doesn't make sense to me without more context around why Philly's into it.
Veto.

I've got to agree with the Marlins. Phillies provides no reasoning for why he wants to take on a mediocre pitcher who will take up more than 10% of his salary cap for the next four seasons when pitchers generally decline. Leake has an ERA above 4, WHIP near 1.3, and a K/9 below 6. Parker is a guy who has been pitching well in the bullpen recently and could have a closer role locked down.
Teams have to provide reasoning if they're going to take on such HUGE risks in salary. Otherwise, I'm just assuming they don't know what they're getting into and are getting ripped off by another team.
Veto

Read the group chat, we had a long discussion about vetoing.

I'm not voting and am not accusing anyone of collusion but this trade needs more than "accept" from PHI bc it makes zero fucking sense
